Trunk mat is wet???? (1 Viewer)

I noticed yesterday that the trunk mat is wet and smelly, removed mat to dry it out, I'm wondering if this had come about since I had the windows blacked out, they removed the windows to do the job, has anyone else had a wet rear mat?

Nope, but I have wet pasenger (LFT) 2nd row seat belt and slow windows!

Did is smell like dog urine?

I would point to the window removal and reinstall. Did you have the windows dipped? How does this compare to tinting? cost included?

I would also check around your rear slider window, over time the rubber seal will shrink. They may have reinstalled with the shrikage in a different spot where it let the water in...or make sure the seal isn't pinched, although I can't see how they would have gotten the window in place if it was pinched.

I just had to pull mine out last week(it's still out). Seems my cooler full of frosty beverages leaked on my way from the boat to mi casa. 2-3 days later it stunk

could be the trim under the rear side windows on the outside. It just pops off and is notorious for allowing water in!! On mine water would drip down onto the jack in the left side panel and splash out the slots on the cover and thus soak my rear carpet. There has been other write ups on this, try a search.

TX_TLC The dog urine really made me larf, and got me thinking!!!!! LOL naa it was not my pup.
I will have a better look today at where it could be coming from, but I can see me waiting till it rains, and sit in the back and see if I can see it coming in.... I will keep you informed.
