Is it normal that one side(the left) have smaller Bearings, and offset Cups?
Can they be replaced with normal Landcruiser ones?

Tips on how to get 'em out, and the new ones in?

The knuckle or trunion bearings are the same part number on both sides. You can remove the bearing races with a brass drift and hammer. Simply knock them out of the axle housing. There are little half moon cutouts for you to place your drift in, remove all the grease and you will see what I am talking about.

To install the new ones I just used the old ones to drive the new races in.

What should the overall thickness of the Steering Knuckles be, with Shims?

When I pulled my Hilux down, there were 1 thick, and 1 thin Shim, at all locations. When I pulled the Steering Knuckles I got from the Wrecker, it too had 1 thick, and 1 thin Shim.

But with new Bearing, should I use 2 thick, and 1 thin Shim?

With new bearings you should put back in the shims you took out of the knuckle originally, and adjust the pre-load on them from there.

The shims on the bottom bearing set the height of the knuckle/spindle in relation to the centerline of the axle, and the top shims, set the pre-load on the bearings.

Good luck!
