troopy in chiang mai, thailand

i was in chiang mai, thailand over the holidays staying at the bow chiang mai guesthouse and this troopy was parked there for the few days i was there. people in my group said the owners were there, but i never got a chance to meet them. anybody recognize this rig? looks like they're on a pretty good adventure and originated out of australia.

On a side note how was Chiang Mai? I was there 3 yrs ago and had a great time.

thailand was awesome. my wife and i have decided we're definitely going back when we can stay longer., but you're right about the landcruisers. i only saw this one and two diesel 80's when i was there. laos, however, was a different story. it's full of lhd crusiers ripe for the picken'.

But I'm sure you saw a bunch of LWB Samurais in Chiang Mai!

for sure. more scooters than anything. i can't tell you how many infants and small children i saw on the backs of scooters. they were definitely getting their money's worth out of them.
