Just wondering as I have heard of Windy Ridge several times and cannot really find any map references. Where is it exactly on a map and are there roads on the maps.
I know now as we went that way from the big bar ferry and over last year. It looks down on 9 mile ridge as you go by. This year is a 90 degree trip the other way. We may have problems with the fire issues as Yalakom is on alert right now so may have to go up the Marshal creek. Still a week away so hope a bit (not too much) rain happens to cool things down.
I've wanted to do that route since hunting up 9 mile ridge last year and doing some exploring around.
Take lots of pictures and post a link here for those of us like me that have dragged their wives on too many dusty logging roads already this summer and are forced to do "her thing".

Find the old Yodel FSR, which is hard to find, because Tolko has punched in a maze of new logging roads, which has obliterated the start of the original trails. I was there last weekend. Bring a winch if going north to south - steep loose hill.
