Just back from a two day trip to Northwoods Overland, a private wheeling facility in north central Wisconsin.

Northwoods Overland - About Us

I'm a fan. This facility has camping, including electricity, H20, showers and restroom facilities and miles of trails rated Green, Yellow and Red in order of difficulty, weaving through acres of dense pine woods and open fields. The owner also has "scramble areas" where he is constructing challenges, hills, pits and the like. For someone like me, driving a fairly stock FJ Cruiser, the place was plenty entertaining.

This place is definitely worth checking out!

My Father, the girlfriend and I went back in early July and helped cut some trails. We'll be back for the March Of Dimes rally in October.

"Cut" is the operative word, no doubt! The woods are pretty thick all over that place. It will be neat to watch it grow and improve . . .hopefully they will get enough business to make it financially vaible for themselves.:hhmm:

How much do they charge?

I was just in WI (drove up from Chicago), spent a couple days at Lake Geneva. Talk about some big houses!

You guys ever been to the House on the Rock near Spring Green? Pretty interesting place.

I thought WI was beautiful. I'll go back. If I could bring my cruiser, I'd love to check out this place.

There are a few places shaping up in WI to find beautiful wheeling. This N.O. park is promising for sure.

Lake Geneva is a IL annex. :meh:
