I had this rear quarter trim piece fall of my rig a few weeks back (stupid local carwash). I've tried to finagle the piece back on over the four clips seen in the pic below, but I'm reluctant to leave it there not knowing whether or not it is 100% fastened. Anyone know if these trim pieces can simply be popped back on without fear of falling off, and/or if these four clips can be removed without damaging the paint and filled in with something?

Thanks friends, Happy New Year.

Mine came off in the car wash about a year ago. Two of the clips were broken and I broke the other two trying to get them off. I replaced the clips (cheap) and added 3m tape for good measure. It hasn't budged since then.

Did the piece just 'snap' into the clips?

The red clips have to slide into place on the back of the trim piece. The white ones just pop into place. You might be able to do it without removing the clips, but look on the back of your trim piece. On mine where the red clips slide into was broken and I had to epoxy it back together.
