Are you thinking about the transfer case? You can safely run any synthetic 75W-90 in the front and rear diffs. Mobil-1 or whatever is easy to come byLooks like there's an alternative to redline & oe. 75w85. specs look good. I'll order some and try them out in my front and rear diffs on my 2016

no, for my differentials. I've been running 75w90 with my 4.30 gears and harrop E lockers, but I'd like to adhere to the vehicles specified weight gear oil for the front and rear differentials. I run Ravenol 75W in my transfer caseAre you thinking about the transfer case? You can safely run any synthetic 75W-90 in the front and rear diffs. Mobil-1 or whatever is easy to come by
75W LF is the unicorns blood for 2013+ transfer cases though.
Yeah TBH I would go for a higher viscosity 75W-90 or 75W-110 for shorter gearing (higher ratios). More friction and heat would cause me to step up the higher end viscosity. Nitro recommends 75W-110 for my 4.88s IIRC.hmmm come to think of it. maybe I should run the gear oil from the vehicles where my differentials are from. 4.7 tundra / 01 100 series
I'm just talking about front and rear diffs on my 16', not the transfer caseThe newer transfer cases used by Toyota / Lexus (is it 2013+?) start have have brass in them but most on the market is GL5 which contains a modifier that attacks brass.
That does remind me to ask do prior year do not have brass syncros?
Therefore the search for a GL4, ideally, single weight 75W began. I just bought Redline MT-LV at $23 a quart, but I needed two incase 1 quart cannot fill to the top.
