I might be up for a short road trip. I've been getting more bold with the diesel and it seems to be handling highway miles just fine. This might give me a chance to check the mileage. Not that it matters to you guys, but I would vote for something on the West side of Raleigh....like southpoint mall area or something...but that's just because I'm selfish. :)

Should be there!

Where is that relative to Southpoint mall? My wife wants to be dropped for shopping (we don't have decent malls here in Winston-Salem) if we can make it.

That's funny....I grew up going to Hanes Mall, before all the shootings :)

Brier Creek is right off of I540, NorthEast of I40. Here are directions from Fayetteville Rd (Streets of South Point) to Applebees at Brier Creek:

1. Head east on I-40 E 6.2 mi

2. Take exit 283 to merge onto I-540 E toward US-70 3.5 mi

3. Take exit 3 for Lumley Rd 0.5 mi

4. Turn left at Lumley Rd 0.5 mi

5. Turn right at Brier Creek Pkwy 0.2 mi

A drop-off at Southpoint would probably work out pretty well. If you come into the triangle on I40, you could drop her off at the mall (Fayetteville Rd. Exit), then continue on I40 towards Raleigh. Take the 540 North and get off at the 70. Briarcreek is at the intersection of those two highways. Southpoint to Applebee's on a Sunday is probably about 10 minutes or so.

I will not be able to make it. I will be at the coast that week/weekend. Ramon give me a call and i will get you some information to take with you.

I'd like to meet-up with some folks, but I'm tenative at best. Hopefully, I'll be heading to the coast also.

LOL, that's not true. You have North Carolina's largest contiguously enclosed shopping mall with nearly 1.5 million square feet of retail space. :grinpimp:

I'm from Atlanta, so I'm a bit jaded....I'm not even a "shopper" and I can agree with my wife on this issue. I was spoiled with so many choices and even more so in the car specialty arena. It has taken me years to find things here, when it only took a short drive in Atl. Oh well right. I just drink more now.:bounce:

Still on for today?
