I just wanted to post a public thank you.
Thank you Koffer. Thank you Satanic Mechanic. Thank you Cruise4070. Today we had a great opportunity to visit their shop, and let me tell you that this is one heck of a shop. I’ve been there several times now and it is an absolute blast. They had us down to provide us with an opportunity to get our rigs up on their lifts and either work or inspect the status. Not only that, but they provided a grand scale breakfast, awesome lunch, loaned us tools when we didn’t have what we needed, turned the wrench when we got stuck, hung out and bs’ed and provided a ton of entertainment. What a great group of folks.
This morning I met up with ZebrabeeFJ and together we cruised south to the shop. Made a quick stop at an auto parts store, and then made our way over to the shop just as Satanic Mechanic was backing some cars out of the shop. He explained that Koffer and Cruise4070 had made a food run and should be back soon. Later we were joined by SHAMROX80 and Jman, as well as a few of the local neighbors (chose your description of local). I got my truck up on the lift and with help from Satanic Mechanic, got my high pressure power steering hose replaced. Also spent some time narrowing down the vacuum leak and getting a new switch wired in for the new remote inverter. Best part, of course, was the socializing and ogling of other cruisers. Gee, it sure is tough working on a rig when you are surrounded by the likes of 40’s, 55’s, 60s, 70’s and 80’s. Toss in a few muscle cars, a bbq, high speed internet, heat, a restroom and tons of soda (including diet coke), and it doesn’t get much better.
Satanic Mechanic, Koffer & Cruise4070, thank you for having us over. We had a blast and got some work done.
Thank you!
