Selling a (95%) complete TRD Superchager kit for the 4.7L 2UZ V8. This kit will work for 100 series, LX 470, Tundra, and Sequoia. The kit is coming off a '99 LX 470, and was installed as a NEW tundra kit on the LX. The LX currently has 189K miles on it, and I was told by the PO's PO, that the kit was installed at around 75K miles in 2003. I uninstalled the kit according to the TRD install instructions.
Install Instructions and Full Parts Pictures
Condition
The supercharger is fully operational, but is missing a few pieces (explained below) according to the TRD install instructions. The LX that it's coming off of, recently lost compression in Cylindar #1. I purchased the truck in this condition. I believe that the compression loss is do to the supercharger running lean because of vacuum loss. This can be caused by bad vacuum houses or intake gasket failure.
In addition, there is some surface rust on the SC pulley, this is not serious and the pulley is fully functional (see pictures).
The SC has never been rebuilt and has 110K miles on it. It was installed as a brand new kit in 2003.
Parts
I've uninstalled this according to the TRD SC install instructions. I've bagged and tagged all parts, and included the associated steps on the tags for most of them. The following parts are included with the kit (checked against the full kit list). See Google Drive folder for all part pictures.
The drive belt is 4 months old.
Missing Parts
Reference the install instructions in the google drive folder to see the associated step numbers.
Step 51 (teardown): Relocation brackets and bolts for rear wire loom housing missing (was not installed).
Step 11 (install): Cable tie (broke during disassembly)
Step 52 (install): Bracket and Flange bolt missing
Step 53 (install): Front driver's side wire loom bracket missing (was not installed)
Step 70 (install): 7/32" x 8" long bypass actuator hose missing
Step 74 (install): Actuator solenoid is Different
The brackets can easily be fabricated, and the loom housings in my truck were secure without them. The biggest thing here is the actuator solenoid. If you compare the picture below to the install instructions, you can see the difference. I was able to contact the PO's PO that installed the kit, and he said that the solenoid that was installed is the one that came with the new TRD Kit. This difference may be due to the fact that the kit was sold as a Tundra specific kit. The solenoid was not hooked up to any hoses, only electrical. The PO's PO said he never hooked it up because the SC was boosting at the correct PSI and the wastegate was fully operational. I'm not sure how accurate this info is, but this is what I was told.
Conclusion
In addition to the kit parts, if they buyer is installing in a 98-2007 LX or LC, I'm willing to trade air filter lids since mine has the TRD stickers on it (see pics). I'll also throw in my air intake/plenum hose, since it's already cut (part of the install) if buyer wants it. I'm not sure if the Tundra or sequoia air intake hoses or air intake lids are the same, if they are then the same offer applies.
Selling the kit as is. I will package it very safely for shipping. Local is definitely easier and cheaper. $3500 OBO + shipping and PayPal fees (if buyer wants the protection). Let me know if you have any questions. Cross Posted.
