Tray Mountain GA outing.....

Was considering a trip to TN this weekend with GA Cruisers to wheel some but the was a little bothered by the lack of other on the trip so we decided to hit Tray Mtn here in North GA instead. Went through Helen GA and had lunch then headed about 15 miles North into the mountains. What made this very interesting was the fact it was Jeepfest 2014!!

Yes they were out in force and everywhere lol. Made our way up Tray Mtn and it was a blast. We noticed how quiet it was on the trail when all of a sudden we see a caravan of Jeeps headed our way. Clearly outnumbered we pulled over to let them pass. The leader says to me hey, it's Jeepfest.....I said yeah I figured that out

Then he says well there are about 500 Jeeps in the area and we have about 60 coming down behind us sooooo. Insinuating that we might not want to try and make it to the top. I said nah we're good

He continued on with a typical Jeep smirk on his face lol. So we made it to the top and back down all the while squeezing by around 60 Jeeps

Made me proud to own and drive a Cruiser.....but how I wished for some fellow brethren in the area

Just point out that the 80 is what jeep copied the drivetrain set up from for rubicon.

We had the magic pass to Beasley today (doing clean up to open the park at the end of the month). Jones knob it getting tough. Got to try out my HF 12k today. Lol

My '91 is stock aside from 32/11.5/15's......after today's ride I'm really considering a 2" lift;
scraped the bottom a couple of times. And kinda missing the more beefy 33's I had previously.

Sold my front bumper right off the truck on a whim so that's definitely next. Probably gonna be a BIOR tube front bumper. Would also like a rear bumper tire carrier. Yakima gutter mounts and bars are upcoming; I want a roof basket that I can put on and take off easily.

Replaced both side view mirrors with black ones. Also did the rear hatch strut mod which is awesome.
