Can you notice a difference in the 4 speed vs the 5 speed transmission? Thanks!

Yes. I have the 4 speed in a 2000 model. I am a service advisor at a toyota dealer so I had the opportunity to try one with the 5 speed. The cruising rpm is about the same but the 5 speed has lower gear ratios so it is a lot snappier and quicker upon acceleration.
