Picked up my new 08 FJ TT last weekend! Only has 400 miles on it (all road), but it has developed an annoying rattle/buzz from the transfercase shifter. It has the bullet model had the top button ratteles. The shifter has a high frequency vibration that has caused the button to loosen. Dealer says they all vibrate like that, but I am not convinced.
Anyone have a problem with this shifter vibrating.

Yup, on every 4X4 I own...

My doesn't rattle (aka make noises) but it moves with the torque, which is normal.

I understand the torque thing. This is a vibration even at idel standing still. Since this shifter is directly connected to the drive train I would expect some, but not this much.

It's normal on the FJ since the transfer case lever has direct linkage to the case itself. You have to tighten it real good to get the buzzing/vibration noise to stop.

On the topic of rattleing..my friggin' passenger seat-belt buckle rattles! What the hell! >.<!

I have the '08 TT shifter and Transfer case shifter on my TRD

If you secure the 50 cent piece sized shifter diagram in the shifters the vibration will not cause the annoying chatter.
Use some epozy or better double sided tape; be careful to align it appropriately.
Feels great in the hand, doesn't it.........gm
