I need some opinions, guidance from the experts and the people who know.. We own a 91 Fj80, bought it about 6 months ago and have been driving it around and slowly repairs things the previous owner didn't. The vehicle has been good, just no power and not really a fan of the fulltime transfer case.

I happened upon and bought a 92 TBI small block, with all smog equipment, 700R trans, transfer case and adapters to the Land Cruiser transfer case. The transfer case behind the 700R is out of a Fj60, it looks part mechanical linkage and vacuum actuated.

Doing some research, the adapter from the 700R transmission to transfer case is 32 spline on the transmission side and 19 spline on the transfer case side.

In the shed is a turbo 350 with a Toyota Mini truck transfer case bolt up. The transfer case is gear driven. While doing my above research, the output shaft for the turbo 350 is 32 spline.

I'm tossing around the idea of pulling the adapter and transfer case and bolting it up to the 700R and putting this all in Land Cruiser.

I realize the rear end and fuel tank will need to be changed.
I'm curious what other problems with the drive train I might encounter.

I'm still in the planning phase and trying to decide the best course of action to take. Any serious input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Bigshrek
