Hey, I am putting together a split transfercase on a 87 FJ-60. The manual I have doesn't have much in terms of torque numbers. I am looking for the torque specs for the rear output flange nut and the similar nut that goes on the end of the inputshaft, which is behind the cover (the nut that preloads the bearing, pto gear ect.) Thanks.

The specs I have are for an '89 FJ62 but the '87 is probably the same.
Rear output flange nut 94 ft-lb
Transmission output shaft lock nut torque is the same. (94 ft-lb)

Yeah, they are both 94 ft lbs. If you have the FSM and you look at the exploded views (e.g. pages TF 10 & 11), the torque specs are given by the numbers in the rectangular boxes next to the nuts: kg-cm (ft-lb, N-M). If you don't have the FSM, get it or download it from birfield.com

My haynes manual says the same:

Transfer case companion flange retaining nut 94 Ft-lbs

Here are others you might need:
Transfer case-to-transmission bolts
10 mm bolt 27 Ft-lbs
12 mm bolt 47 Ft-lbs

Shift diaphragm 13 Ft-lbs

Shift motor actuator bolts 14 Ft-lbs
