Hello Fellas, wandering if someone can please help me out. Doing the Transfer case replacement of Gears with the trail gear low gears 3.11 . I need to know what kit is needed to seal up from leaking after Gears are changed for me to order, thank you. Is it highly recommended to replace transmission rear seal , it has just been rebuilt 500 miles ago? Not sure if I just need the seal kit for replacement of gears, or the complete O/H kit? I don’t want yo buy the whole O/h kit if it’s not needed to just replace the low gear . My Land Cruiser is a 92 80 series with I believe the A442F transfer

Call (yes, with a telephone) Cruiser Outfitters or Cruiser Brothers and they will walk you through getting what you need.

How far do you plan to pull down the case? The 3.1:1 (or the 3.15:1 gears @orangefj45 has :D) do not require full tear down of the case, you'd be going out of your way to do seals, particularly the front output and t-case input. It's often recommended as cases get higher and higher miles, but at that point you may consider a full bearing/seal kit as they front/rear seal swap requires a fair but of instll/preas time.

Either way, we have the seals (NOK Japanese, OEM), bearings and o-rings individually or as part of an entire HF2A overhaul kit.
