Tranny Gasket or Packing Seal?

My local Toy dealer sold me a tranny pan gasket. Its not OEM but its been 2 yrs and no leak.
I will be dropping the pan soon. I will find out how hard it is to remove the cork gasket.
How hard it is to remove the OEM packing seal?
I think as its still cold here, I will go with the cork gasket.

I usually use a wire wheel to remove the fipg that adheares to the pan, comes off quick, then it off to be cleaned in the solvent tank. Cork should come off easy, except around the holes where pressure will make it adhere more, but still should not be that much of a problem. later robbie

Spray on gasket remover helps save some time, especially dealing with the FIPG and if the pan has a grooved surface on the lip like the lower oil pan.
