I have a 2000 LC that was originally delivered without the OEM trailer hitch package. So, I am now going to add the hitch and associated wiring and was wondering what is the easiest way to tap into the wiring. I lowered the spare and there was no obvious factory trailer wiring installed but it did look like there were two open wiring plugs, one on each side. Can I just tap into these? See pictures. Thanks

I don't know for the 2000, but if you run a search of the forum using the term "trailer wire plug" you'll get dozens of threads on the question, some with photos. Looks like yours needs to be cleaned up, if that's what it is. Good luck.
