I have a '76HJ45 with a 2H engine and 5 speed tranny.
Question: can I put an Adventure Trailer Chaser (about 2500 GVW) effectively on mining trails in the Colorado Rockies?

Thanks and cheers!

Happy Easter

Eddie

The 2H is non-turbo, right? I'd think you're going to be really down on power because of that with the altitude in Colorado. Add in 2500 lbs to tow, ouch.

Keep in mind I have no personal experience with the 2H. Just my 2 cents. I had a 2F in a 76 FJ55 with the 4 speed. It was pretty winded at altitude. Did OK in low-range, but was no bullet on the road. I wouldn't have wanted to tow anything with it.

Thanks guys

what do you think:

add a turbo or,

motor conversion...

What conversion (should that be best) would be the best choice if I wanted to stay with diesel and not change transmission/transfer case?

Thanks,

Eddie
