Can anyone recommend a good lightweight trailer so I can haul my FJC for long distance trips? What would be a good price? Being here in TX now, I really miss wheeling out that way. With a family of 5, the family doesn't like being cramped in the FJ for too long. So, if I could tow the FJ behind our Sequoia, I would be in business. I still have never been to Cruise Moab. If I get a trailer, I will try to go next year. Any help would be appreciated!
We still wheel here in TX, but it's just not the same. We had fun at Lone Star Cruiser Roundup at Katemcy Rocks (K2) a few weeks ago, and we've been twice to Hidden Falls Adventure Park and once to Trees Ranch. These places would be a lot more fun with a rock buggy.

I may be selling mine soon:D, but look for a 16 foot minimum with at least 2- 3500lb axles. anything in that range will work fine. 2 axles with brakes is best, 1 axle may do depending on the Sequoia's brakes. craigslist is a good place to look. in tx they are a dime a dozen. be sure to measure your wheel width and then measure the trailer between the wheel wells for fit. make sure it has ramps, unless you can make them yourself. make sure the Sequoia is up to the job too though. the trailer will be in the 1500-2000lb range plus the FJ.
I'll be looking for a 35 foot gooseneck soon to take 2 trucks at the same time.

Thanks Shawn! I'll definitely want tandem axle with brakes. What are the specs on your trailer, and how much will you want for it? The Sequoia is good for towing 8,000 maybe up to 10,000 pounds, and I suspect that my FJC is in the 5,300 to 5,500 pound range with its mods. So, you're getting a 2-vehicle trailer? Nice, go big, or go home! : )

Trailer Queen!!!! Ok if it gets the family out;)

Rock Buggy...armor and smash you're on a trailer now:flipoff2:

mine is a 16foot, 2- 3500lbs axles. brakes on only 1 axle. I switched it from surge hydraulic to electric. brakes probably need to be done(I can do them prior to purchase), new class D tires. custom fenders you can drive over. I think the deck is 8' wide. maybe 6'. here's an older pic, it hasn't changed. I'd say $1200 for our cruiser people.

I see what you are doing here....

I foresee Rubithon and Dusy trips with two trucks, 1/2 the expenses if you go with someone else.

Good work senor.

:)

Au contraire, all the expenses and twice the maintenance.

Its for Brock's rig

ding ding ding! we have a winner! Brock's rig it is. and after he goes off to college, I can put the camper on the front with the 40 on behind it.
