Trailer spare

As of right now my trailer and tow vehicles do not have the same lug pattern or tire size, i have a matching rim and tire, but it makes the tongue very heavy, i found a donut spare, would it be fine to carry only this when I just running errands? or will it cause issues if i had to use it? The trailer tires are 30".

Do you have space to mount it underneath(at least the donut)?

the donut would fit underneath, the full size really cuts into ground clearance. Currently I have the fulls size tire on the tongue, but it adds so much weight there when moving the trailer around.
