Can anyone tell me how far a draw bar extends past the hitch pin, measuring from the center of the hole? I'm building a trailer hitch right now, but I'm concerned that there might not be enough space for the bar (like this) since the gas tank is pretty close to the rear of the frame. I'd like to weld the end closed just to prevent the bar from accidentally hitting the tank, but I'm not sure how much room to leave.
Are most hitch dimensions pretty standard? If anyone has a bike rack or cargo carrier, those measurements would do also. Thanks
