Hi all... I got my first trailer (for my motorbikes) fairly basic and custom made. Has no lights on it what-so-ever. Got my lights and my wires now I need some help on hooking them up to my LC100. I have installed a hidden hitch but have no electric sockets or connectors. Am new to the trailer business so any help in picking up the right lingo is appreciated.
basically I saw some other cars with a nice looking male/female connector and was wondering if the LC has the proper cable harness at the back. where is it if yes and where can I get such a nice connector bought.

Anything to watch for? Many thanks

Spend some time using search on Mud. Lot of info on trailers/wiring/towing. There's an FAQ on brake controller wiring too.

Etrailer has parts and accessories and several technical articles and installation videos. The link to wiring for an '04 is here:

2004 Toyota Land Cruiser Trailer Wiring Harness | etrailer.com

The factory wiring on my '04 has a 7 pin connector under the left rear. It looks like the harness must plug in somewhere near the jack. I use a 7 pin to 4 pin adapter for connection to the trailer.

looking at the info now! many thanks! if you have any photos of the connector and how it is fitted to your hitch I would appreciate it; otherwise don't worry about it.

thanks

oem hitch assembly has a mounting point for the wiring plug, I'm not sure if the hidden hitch has one somewhere. Depending on where you are there mint be people who took of their oem hitch so post something in the wanted section. If your trailer is heavy, make sure to get the brake controller, it helps ALOT
