What I have:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/0rg64jb9m02ci64/haytruk-04.jpg
1949 Ford truck
Z'd front and C notched rear
four corner leaf springs
solid front axel, moved forward for that gnarly hotrod stance
low miles on reman 350 chevrolet V8 (runs awesome)
Great compression, no smoke, lots of power
aluminum eddelbrock dual plane intake
4bbl carb
700R4 overdrive auto transmission hooked to factory column shifter so it looks stock in the cab. Clutch pedal is there, but is just for looks. Transmission shifts and grabs great. It should actually get some great MPG for a v8 as light as the truck is and having that overdrive.
Clear oregon title
Antique plates that require no smog/tags. Ever.
Battery and fuel tank mounted under the bed floor.
Lights/signals/heater works.
Header downpipes have internal cut down glass packs so it's quieter than you might think at idle but has a great rap when you get into it.
This truck gets with the program and hooks up. Not much weight and great power. It's awesome to drive and gets the looks and babes. Seriously, they dig it.
As much as I love it, I want a toyota 4x4. I'll trade straight across for the right one.
This is a running and driving truck. I've been driving it all over town and on the highway and it's been a reliable hotrod.
What I want:
1985 or older solid axel 4x4
Not picky on what gen or year, though I do have a nice interior for an 85.
standard or extended cab
20R 22R 22RE but no V6's
Solid body with uncut fenders, no bed bob.
In other words, I'm looking for a mostly stock solid axel 4x4 in nice shape. minor dents and scrapes don't bother me. Small mods like a bit of lift, bigger tires I'm okay with but I'm looking for a daily driver truck, not a dedicated trail rig or another project (I'm full up on projects).
I may be flexible on trades so send any offers my way, worst I can say is no.
So, what have ya got?
Here's the CL ad for my hotrod, it has my email in it. That's the best way to get ahold of me. http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/cto/3297883442.html or just email directly jaygryph@gmail.com
