I have a very clean 87 fj60 --silver/ 108,000 miles/ mostly stock
NO rust/Northeast location.
I am thinking of a straight trade on a nice 96,97,98 fj80 - lockers not necessary. anyone? PM please

Bad news Ray. No one would do this. THe reasons are complex, and I love my FJ60 enough to drive it every day, but an 80 series is a better Land Cruiser. It will go anywhere and do anything that an FJ60 will do, and mostly it will do it better. The extra zoot alone from the extra 100 hp is enough to convice you that in normal life, the 80 is better. The 80 gets better mileage, is newer, and is far more comfortable to drive. Ask anyone who have owned both, and you'll get the same story.
Your best bet is to sell the 60 and apply the cash toward the 80, or keep the 60 and just buy the nicest 80 you can find. Your 60 sounds like a nice one, it should go pretty fast.
