Drove my son's 2002 lx470...He's been telling me for a while his traction control been going off for no reason...well today it went off , straight line driving, perfect day, no wet roads...any input??

Random Pixel Generator
When it happened to me it was my rack and pinion. It would also kick the cruise off in a curve but only in right hand curves. Very nerve wracking when it happens
Dirty or faulty wheel speed sensors?
I've had intermittent issues like that. The ATRAC would kick on for no apparent reason. Dirty wheel speed sensor ended up being the issue.

His steering is a little sloppy , and his cruise kicks off in turns same as above poster

Same problem I had. Cruise kicks off. Traction control would kick in. Sometimes one wheel would brake hard. Sometimes it seemed to be alternating the braking from right to left to right, etc but I can't be sure of that. A warning light would go off but I was always busy trying to regain and maintain control of the vehicle so I never saw what the light said. It's a dangerous problem to have
I replaced the axles (rather than rebuild), repacked the wheel bearings, changed the front brakes, installed a new steering rack and had it aligned... Once I finished with the steering rack the problem never occured again
