This has happened before - right after we took delivery of the 100 in 09 the TPS started flashing. Toyota replaced the TPS computer under warranty. Now, the same thing is happening. The spare will loose air over 6 months but once aired up the TPS is good and the "solid" TPS indicator goes out. I've re-aired all the tires but the TPS continues to blink. I have not pulled the fuse for the TPS computer yet but that's my next step.

Anyone else have a similar problem?

Thanks

Big day for TPMS threads.

To answer your question, yes, its probably happened to all of us with TPMS equipped 100s. The sensors are battery powered and the lifespan is somewhere between 5-10 years. When the batteries die, they stop communicating with the TPMS ECU and the light starts blinking.

Thanks for the link. Reader's Digest version is that the sensor has to be changed, they are not serviceable.

Tire shops like Discount Tire will change them. They will also recommend replacing all of them at once so you're not returning later. The sensors are not serviceable, only replaceable. Make sense to replace all at once, if one battery goes out, the others can't be far behind
