with neg figures of the lc and lx i would think the new 100 series would be out sooner then dec 07

every month for the past couple years the sales have been negative in comparison to the previous year. People (well not us, we dont care what year it is...we want one) but a lot of your non-technical customers who just buy a car for the looks, dont want to buy a $60k+ dollar SUV in 2007 that looks a lot like the one sold in 1997.

The way Toyota doesn't even bother to market it makes me think that they are selling all they care to make to the rest of the world and figure they don't need to sell the 100 in NA. What has the year-to-year been to the middle east with oil prices going through the roof ?

Also I wonder how much the new model's imminent arrival hurts the old model sales. Or do the new car buyers even know the model change is coming. I've never bought new and probably never will so I don't have much of an understanding of the mindset.

Some say dated, I say classic. It might have helped if they made a few in colors other than white.

We'll see if they do the same with the next wagon. I'm not sure Toyota wants to knock GM into bankruptcy with an aggresive challenge for the large truck/SUV market. But GM may go under without much of a push.

With these numbers I wouldn't bother to release a new wagon

Yes, I have never seen a LC commercial here. I have seen on youtube and the like some awesome aussie LC commercials. People say "oh the landcruisers dont sell, toyota is going to stop making them" but fail to realize how many damn landcruisers get sold in OTHER parts of the country. Many people in the states, even a lot of dealers dont comprehend that the Land Cruiser wasnt built only for us, it was build for the world, thus the name LAND CRUISER.

And I agree with you NMUZJ...i would have no problem(if i had the money of course) to buy a brand new 2007 LX right off the boat. I dont care if people think it looks like a 98 or a 2007, i know what it is and its their fault for not realizing it.

I've actually seen one LC commercial here but that was back when the 100 first came out.
