Oh Yeah!
I finally found a powder coat colour match for the Toyota pewter colour on the 40 series.
Prismatic powders shimmer gold UMB-2062. You would never know it from looking at the website. I just ordered a whole bunch of colour swatches and took a chance on that one. Once the paint was applied and all finished, it was pretty much an exact match.

That does look spot on! Quick question by chance in all of the other swatches you tried was Prismatic "Steel Silver- PMB-5208" one of your choices? If so, was it similar?
I'm going to be powder coating my bumper and a couple of other pieces very soon and your color looks great!

I’m away till Tuesday but the best I can recall, it was but I didn’t find it close. I’ll look again and post on Tuesday.
Cheers.

Take your time! I appreciate you having a look when you return... here's my baby.

Keeping her as close to original as possible... You can see my bumper needs some paint/powdercoat!

thx again!

Ooooooh. I love the mustard yellow. I’ve never seen one in person. It’s almost a tie between that and the beige. You have a beautiful truck!

Just got home and looked at the colour swatches. No I didn’t have steel silver on there. Here is a picture of the ones I did have. My dash pieces are original 1983 and the shimmer gold is an amazing match. And I checked in all lighting and angles.

hah! You have a couple colors I took a look at as well. I’ll order your choice and have a closer look!

Here’s the color I referenced on my bumper and heater that doesn’t get much sunlight and it’s pretty close.

In the back of my mind, I’ve always thought, heck, anything new and fresh is going to be a fast improvement but on the other hand, my ocd/ analness kicks in…

Thanks again for the tip!

They look close too. The one thing to remember is that the swatches are on aluminum, so they are going to be lighter in colour as opposed to steel. Honestly, I think as long as they all match, no one will even notice. Send me some pictures when it’s all done. 😁

I am going to bring a New OE silver piece over and have them make a Yota Silver so everyone does not have to keep guessing

I have a new oe license plate light that to me looks more like the vegas gold that many have used but i am just going to have them make a Yota Silver .

appreciate everyone's replies! Thats what makes this forum great! I'll get my new swatches in the next day or so...curious to see what it reveals.

Hi All!
Circling back on this topic since I move slow. I thought 5208 was my choice BUT after receiving the Shimmer Gold 2062, it is soooooo….close and the winner for me. I compared my dash pieces and heater with garage light, natural light and a spot light and thought wow, that’s spot on. I even walked away and came back to look once more and it’s a really nice match.

(Shout out Theodore, i appreciate the help!)
