I just bought an LC 70 (JTEFU71JXB4007589) 1GR-FE / GRJ71.
The oil gauge is not working. The sender (next to the filter) is either 7 ohms engine off or open circuit engine on. This looks like a switch to me. It is also the specified behaviour for a switch from the Toyota manual.
If I enter the above VIN into ToyoDIY.com, the only oil sender listed is a switch (yet there appears to be no low oil pressure warning light on the dash). So I am a little confused. Anyone out there with one of these and know where the oil pressure sender is located (and part no)?
Sorry for so many questions - not had a Toyota before (was a Jeep fan). Hopefully as my knowledge increases I can start contributing.
