What needs to be done

Throw-out bearing is making noise so I figure it's clutch time. Also have a diesel leak most likely from the injection pump, a sometimes hard sometimes soft clutch pedal (after recent Chinese clutch booster installed) and a steering box which needs a rebuild (adjusted in fully).

Time not being a factor I would do most of it myself. I was hoping there may a good mechanic in the Kelowna region somewhere that has experience with the BJ series diesel JDM Landcruisers.

Still looking for a good JDM mechanic, Kamloops is 3 hours away otherwise I would go up that way. Replaced the clutch a year ago and now have a rattling noise upon acceleration which seems to be getting louder. Any help would be appreciated.

Also ATEB but that is also down here in Burnaby

I've dealt with their mechanic once before and I found him to be a backyard special who likes to use cheap Chinese replacement parts. I would never recommend him.

I have heard the mechanic for jcruisers/mustang conection in Armstrong is good.

J Cruisers JDM Parts & Imports in BC Canada

other than that and what has already been mentioned EBI at the coast would be a safe bet.

i understand its a drive but I say AllToy with tony. He has done numerous jobs on several of my cruisers over the last few years

wowzers I retract my previous statement.

I have found that although it is more hassle and time, it is 98% of the time better to do the job yourself - especially if you are keeping the vehicle long term.
The clutch and steering box any Mechanic shop should be able to handle - as for the pump there is a diesel injection place in Vernon that I used 13 years ago that was good. My pump has a leak coming from the primer pump - which is common have you checked where it is coming from ? That is an easy fix in your drive way.

I just tried Truckworks in Kelowna, had them replace an exhaust manifold gasket (with a broken bolt in the cylinder head), weld up a broken baffle in the muffler and adjust brakes. I supplied all the parts and was satisfied with the work done.
