I've been reading heaps of threads regarding HIGH oil pressure on the 3B and 13BT engines
Specs from "the book" from Toyota advise
860 RPM ( Idle) can be 4.6PSI and more
3000 RPM can be 26 to 85 PSI
I religiously change my oils and filter every 5,000klms
I found in my 13BT is that its was running around 35 PSI at Idle and 80 PSI at 3000 RPM - to me these seems high but within Specs
I checked the pressures with both electrical and capillary type gauges at cold and normal running conditions
To put myself at ease with the HIGH pressure - I've removed the Main Relief Valve spring and cut/removed a small section off of the spring ( shortened it)
NOW running at 28 PSI at 860 RPM (idle) and 65 PSI at 3000 RPM
I feel better with these pressures
