Dave, keep me informed... I like it! I think I may have to get one... :-) Need someone to demo one?

If demo'ing a bumper means running it 60 through a block wall...that sounds like fun.
Universal did that with my 60 bumper in the "Kingdom" movie.. My favorite part of the movie
I made 6 fronts and rears for them. They had me leave of the can carrier arm on the rears...otherwise the same as I
sell today.

This was the front I built. Hmm. a slight similarity in the hoop design to the 40?

Best part...Jennifer Garner touched my bumper

Wow Dave, it combines strength, strong heavy duty looks but doesn't look "heavy' and over done. Hands down best design bumper/brush guard I've seen.

That opportunity fell in my lap because they needed 6 pair of bumpers in 11 days and no one else could get it done. ARB only had a couple in the US . Same with Kaymar. The nice thing is they were prepping the trucks at Mesa Gateway Airport only 70 miles away. The Freeway scenes were shot on the 101 freeway in Phoenix .

So what did they look like after they were done bashing? Just want to see what if any carnage looked like.

have you looked into Greyhound for shipping ? They go solely by size not weight - also, recipient can prepay online

Awesome connection with the movie Kingdom! They got the paint job of those police trucks dead on right. Except none of our police trucks use bumpers or roof racks…and all have barn doors:hmm: Nevertheless very cool to have a mud member's touch on that film.

Oh, and great piece of work you do with the 40 bumper:clap:

We've got the frame pretty straight on the 1981 FJ43 this bumper goes to. The production versions will be more suited to the pre '80 model.
The difference being the uprights will be 2" closer together to match the headlight spread of the vast majority of 40s in the US.
We are going to run a couple 8274 versions , a couple planetary and a non winch version and test the waters before committing to adding them to the site.
They weigh 93 lbs without a winch mount. Winch parts will add about 15lbs. The unfortunate side of a bumper this size is shipping. I'll be stuck with truck freight.View attachment 1191719 View attachment 1191720 View attachment 1191721 View attachment 1191722 View attachment 1191723

On the right truck I would do that. No more parking lot door dings
I assume the top bars move when have to check your oil.....or are Land Cruisers so reliable you never worry of such things?
Jason ( @reevesci ) has been building a few 70 series bumpers. Maybe he'd like to
tackle this one.

Your designs are so mature - are those two main verticals plates CNC'd? It seems as most of your latest works incorporate elements that would not normally be accomplished in a home garage - which is why they are so cool.

@cruisermatt Some guys grow up , buy a home, start a real, responsible life while others don't.
they buy a Retro-Systems "hornet" cnc table. My friends bought mustangs and Camaros out of High school, I bought a 40. My friends got married...I got a tubing bender. When I did get married ,I did so because she loved my dog and my Land Cruiser. I love building Cruiser parts despite the fact the obsession will lead me to die broke...I own a lot of really cool but arguably impractical tools
