Hello all. I’m replacing the upper control arms on my 89 pickup (3.0, auto, 4x4). I’ve got the old ones out, and new ones in position but not bolted. I need to loosen the torsion bars even further. But I just cannot, for the life of me, get them any looser. Plenty of threads left on the adjustment bolts, but it’s seized pretty good. I’m sure they’re going to snap. I figure I’ll just get new ones.

Does anyone have the part numbers for the torsion bar adjust cam nuts and bolts? They have that half moon, so I can’t just use any old stuff. I can’t find them on the Olathe Toyota parts sight.

Please and thanks!

This what you're after?
Hmm… very much likely. Maybe I’m looking at it wrong. I’ll post a pic later, mine is different than that. But maybe the ‘half moon’ is not part of the hardware, and it’s just fused together.

Awesome! So it is all separate. Mine must just be fused in. I may even just cut them, and get new bolts. Thanks!
