Outside or inside the lamps, or both?? Looks new.

Steve

Outside. YES it does work. Usually pretty well just like his pictures. Sorry for the reply.

And if you want to take it one step past toothpaste you can do the final finish polish with Brasso.

Buying some brasso. Thanks for the tip.

Passenger side has moisture inside. Will remove and seal.

So much better and so easy.

yup, toothpaste is a mild abrasive. Probably doesn't work as well as a dedicated plastic polish but at least easier to find around the house...

Headlamps are glass. Fogs plastic.

It won't hurt to scrub your glass headlights with toothpaste as well. The foaming will clean out those tiny pits in the glass and make it look better too.

@uzj100.... Pick up some plastic lens sealer from one of the auto parts stores around. O'Reillys had Bluemagic Headlight Lens Sealer on their clearance rack for $1.07 a bottle, if you can find it. If not, pick up something similar off the wash/wax shelves. Meguiars & Mothers both have similar products but they'll cost you more that $1.07.

Did this today too. Funny, with the exact same toothpaste! Did my headlights too, but forgot to get a before and after. Wonder if something similar would get some of the sand and dirt out of the pores of the windshield?

Use the same clay you use on your paint for your windshield and glass lenses. The light compounding you get from toothpaste is wasted on a very hard surface like glass. Clay will scoop up the contaminants much more efficiently.
