I have not seen a push drill since my dad owned on

I used it alot in the 1980s. But you have to be carefull not to slip or get the drill bit into the hand.

We also had a old wheat Cicle? Ever time I looked at that thing, it reminded me of the Grim Reaper.

Have 3 that bring back a lot of memories.

This hammer with a screwdriver in the handle was one of the first tools my parents gave me.

The Yankee push drill my grandfather owned.

And the Black & Decker right angle drill attachment my other grandfather owned.

Also somewhere in my tool box I've got the original pliers my parents gave me when I was 6.

Now I know what it was..a wheat

The Informal Learning Review 1999-0506-b

called a wheat Scythe

It was big and heavy. had no purpose in our garage. I think mom sold it after the divorce.

As for that grinding stone in this thread. I did a stupid thing. We had one to. I put my face over it grinding away on something. At first, I had a small irritation in the eye that lasted till lunch at school the next day. My eyesight then went completely blurry and I panicked. I kept shouting "I cannot see" teachers led me out of the lunch room. A eye doctor said "your lucky it was a filament that broke apart and did not cause permanent damage". I guess that is a part of life as a kid, always getting in trouble or getting injured :)
