Keep an eye on your local Sears and OSH (owned by Sears), there is some weird stuff going on with sales of toolboxes. They are discontinuing and heavily discounting some stuff. More than the usual Xmas sales.
I was at OSH today, looking at boxes. I saw one that is normally going for $140 with a $67 tag on it. I thought it was a mistake so I went to confirm the price at the service desk just in case. They said it was in fact $33! Close out and (perfect) display unit. 7 drawers. Needless to say, it is now residing in my garage. :)

added: and my local Sears has a bunch of boxes on close out too. Not top of the line but functional and cheap.

Just called 3 Sears in my area and asked if they were discounting some tool boxes more than any advertised price online:

"what is on the site is what the price is in the stores"

Must be in your area. Damn it!

maybe they just don't advertise the closeouts?
my local store has a pile of stuff near the entrance with closeouts and "used" (I guess floor display or returns) with low prices.

Local stores do that from time to time. I've gotten some killer deals that way.

ooooh, got 2 more, at the Sears store this time... Got an amazing deal, but interestingly, they had closeouts in the Sears store that were quite a bit higher-priced than the OSH store identical items. Must be that the managers have some flexibility in deciding prices. Btw, if you look into all this, keep in mind that there are significant differences in sturdiness between the various lines of Sears / Craftsman tool boxes.

Hmmm.... Next: drawer tool boxes in my 80? :D
