to instal my headers?

do I have to remove the carb or can it be done from the bottom and side? I am at a holding point, and I want to instal them.

It's easier just to pull the whole thing together as one unit if I recall. You're gonna have to replace the gasket anyways and have the intake planed if it's questionable.
