I don't know this for sure but after installing a 4 speed in a '70 FJ40, will the 4 speed skid plate bolt on in the same places and do the same job with e the longer transmission? I'm guessing so but hope i'm right.

I have a perfect powder coated 3 speed skid plate if someone needs it or can exchange.

It's going on a '70 with a 4spd conversion. Other than that info, I don't know what to tell you.

I am not sure if the 4 speed will bolt right up. To be sure you are not buying something that you can't use can you measure the distance from mounting holes both length and width and I can check those measures with the ones I have.

Sure. Hold on...

Okay. Driver's side front to rear:
a-b - 7-7/16"
b-c - 4-3/4"
Passenger's side front to back:
a-b - 7-1/2"
b-c - 4-5/8"

Front to back widths:
27-1/8"
28-1/4"
29"

The big holes for the rivets are located in front of the 2nd row and behind the 3rd row.
They are spaced away from the bolt holes 1-5/16" in front of the middle row and 1-3/16" behind the last row.

I used my old 3-speed skid plate. I cut a notch on the front of the skid plate to accommodate the 4 speed transmission. I think I enlarged the TC drain hole as well. Other than that, it fit fine. Also, mine is a '70 as well.
