I think it is a necessary evil.
An extra $5/year isn't a deal breaker for me. I enjoy the magazine.
Not a big deal, I ain't gonna cry over $5.

It's been 7 years since the last increase, and a lot has changed in that 7 years (postage increase, printing costs going up, 2008, etc). The dues increase really benefits the main incentive to being a member, which IMHO is the Toyota Trails magazine. I'll gladly pay an extra $5 to keep as many color pages and good content in it as possible.
