It's that time once again. As if the barrage of radio, mail and TV ads weren't enough, it's time for TLCA hanging chads. To recap, we have half the elected officers up each year on an overlapping schedule, two year terms - these terms will be for 2011-2012. Up this year are:

President
Treasurer
Administrative Vice President
Marketing Sale Vice President
Mountain/Central Individual Representative
Eastern Individual Representative

Nominations are open, any TLCA member may make a nomination.

Nominees must be current TLCA members. No experience required, much enthusiasm requested. Upon successful election, the winning officers each get keys to the executive washroom. Details of responsibilities and authority of each position is readily available at tlca.org under bylaws and SOPs. If you are a TLCA member, please contact your chapter delegate or Individual Representative if you have a suggestion for nominee.

Nominations may be made here, on the bodreps email list or on the LCML, and in person during both the upcoming October and November meetings. Nominations will be closed upon adjournment of the November meeting, elections held at the December meeting. Secretary Ross Woody will compile nominations for the vote during the December meeting. There is no bylaw or SOP requirement for a second for a nomination, nominations are simply made by current TLCA members, either on behalf of their chapters as delegates, or as current TLCA members.

Thanks and happy cruisin'!

What Megolfer said. x2
I also nominate Perry Lowery for Central & Mountain IR.
Happy Trails! N

As a member I can nominate, but as a contractor, I cannot vote. So....

I second Nick's nomination of Perry for Central/Mountain Rep.

I nominate Casey Campbell for Treasurer & Chuck Atkins for Eastern IR

I will second Casey Campbell nomination.

I nominate Jeff Zepp

I would like to nominate Jeff Zepp for another term as TLCA President.

Having worked closely with Jeff, I've had a front row seat to what happens behind the scenes and Jeff is well suited to the job. He has an even temperment, which is a MUST for this job, and a keen desire and ideas to move the club forward. On his watch we have established an International Representative, added an international chapter (possibly two), established an online magazine, given back to the off-road community through a partnership with Blue Ribbon Coalition, pulled back from the brink of draconian budget cuts, and we have navigated several thorny issues. I think Jeff and his management style are one reason this collection of eccentric, opinionated Toyota 4WD addicts is still functioning as an organization. He hasn't been able to keep everyone happy all of the time, but he has managed to keep us focused on what matters and move past personalities and the occassional difference of opinion to strenghten and further the interests of the club. While there is plenty of room for improvement in the activities and operations of TLCA, I think Jeff has earned the privilege of leading us through another term as our President.

Thank you for reading,

Jon Sourbeer

I would like to nominate Jon Sourbeer as AVP. I believe he has done a very good job in taking over as AVP after the office was vacated in the middle of its term. He has spent a lot of time working through tedious amounts of paperwork in trying to bring all of our written language into one concise and consistent document. I feel he did an admirable job of finishing up an uncompleted and often unenviable position.

I would nominate Justin Ward to continue as MSVP. I assume we would do the same as last election in that if he is elected President then he would withdraw his nomination from MSVP. I feel his work on the grill badges has earned him more time as MSVP.
