It would be made from legally imported parts. We can call it a "kit car".

Man...if this was a 60 series.....

I would seriously consider whatever nefarious means would be necessary to get one. I remember stories about folks pushing VW bugs over the border in Nogales, and then having it completely rebuilt with one of the FI beetles from Brazil supply the donor bits and then bringing it back into the states. Since you had the legal title to the original, and had simply replaced "parts" it was said to be a street legal swap.

Anyone know the truth behind that urban legend?
