Mounted the bumper this morning. Obviously not the most protection, most jack points, or beefiest construction, but it will do what I want it to do. And I think it looks cool.

that looks awesome!!
like the minimalist approach.
where did you purchase? that will be the top of my list.

Nice clean and beefy, I like it .
Truck looks great thanks for sharing!

looks nice, good to see another local 80

I just picked up the same springs you are running and am about to pick up the same bumper. Could you take some side profile pics of the bumper and the entire rig. I want to see how the bumper and rig look from the side. Does this seem beefy? Could it handle some shackle mounts and a 2" reciever welded to it or is metal too thin?

Is that the same TJM that slee made available a few weeks ago? Nice bumper at a reasonable cost. Looks good on the rig.

Looks good! Its a nice cheaper alternative to an ARB if you don't need the deer/animal/crazy driver protection :D

Bhicks, I'm not an expert on materials sciences, but I'd be comfortable adding a couple D-rings. Not sure about the receiver. I guess it would depend on what you were pulling/mounting.

Mattnatti- it is the same. got a local outfit to honor the deal offered by slee, bumper and winch for $1070.

timer00- I can always weld on a cow pusher for the zombie apocalypse.

dude, not sure if I will be around to help this weekend or not, but in the case that I am not, would you be sure to measure the distance between the top of your front tire and the fender flare so that I can see if there is any kind of drop? Winch is probably the next on my list.

no significant sag with the winch mounted. Still need to add the second battery, so we'll see.

Couple of observations/complaints after mounting the winch:

First, the little plastic mount for the remote came out of the box broken. No big deal, but still.

Second, the winch mounts through four holes in the bumper, the lower two are shared by the fairlead. There is little adjustment possible. When installed, the fairlead doesn't cover the entire opening for the winch cable.

On the lower end, it doesn't cover all of the metal from the bumper itself

I think I'm going to pull it off and re-size the mounting holes in an effort to raise the whole winch a couple cm.

I used the TJM T17 and 9500# winch this past weekend for the first time (outside of pulling a few stumps). The winch performed well, but the bumper... not so much. I managed to get stuck in about 2' of snow and used the line to drag myself through. The bumper got all torqued up.

I have contacted the vendor to see what they propose but I'm not happy.

I totally forgot about this thread. I now remember that I almost bought this exact bumper. Once I saw one in person I realized it was just too light weight to handle the abuse I was gonna toss at it. I decided to just fab up my own bumper to exactly my desire and meet my specific wheelin needs.

yeah that bumper is areal piece of chit in my opinion i bought a used one and modified it after doing the exact same thing hope it works alittle better this time not sure what tjm will do to help u out with that damage good luck to u brotha next time go arb or fab your own.

Slee short bus....its def a REAL bumper!!! Winched 4-6x dragging rock (dont ask) and the mounting is beyond the frame strength!

Bumper is 10x better than stock as a stock replacement, you could cut through the front w 1/2 plate straight thru and bolt to frame and use them as recovery points.....most all bumpers i have seen are constructed that way, what did TJM do for you?
