Putting on new TJM Tiger Adjustable Shocks and wanted to make sure that the obvious is correct. On the front shocks I am placing the adjustment knob facing inward, towards the axle. This seems to be the easiest way to access them for adjustments. Did anyone do anything else and why? I sent TJM an e-mail to confirm proper installation, but no word back yet.

I would think facing the rear would be easier to turn with hand plus less likely to get hit by rocks & derbies. Just my .2

I just installed these in the front and with the bottom pin on the shock, you can really choose any direction you want, I faced them towards the rear for rock protection etc. knowing that I would have to reach under the the rear of the front tires to adjust them. Now the back has the eyelets on the bottom of the shocks and you have to choose either facing them towards the differential or face them right into the rock guard behind the brakes. I chose to face them toward the differential but I think I’m going to switch them towards the brakes for protection. I found I rarely get under there and change the shock rate so I will likely turn them 180* to keep that knob from being knocked around by rocks

Rick - I ended facing the front driver's side towards the axle, the passenger towards the rear. Faced both rears towards the rock guard / shield. With them facing in, they just seemed vulnerable. I set all of them at 5 for the time being. To add.....I drove them downtown to a hockey game, and really like the ride. Looking forward to taking them down to 1 for off-road and seeing how they ride.
