...so I awoke the fleet from hibernation.

Started putzing around the yard yesterday, and got a little carried away with my tug straps and now have little pile of shrubbery and cedar stumps to deal with.
After that little energy burst was over, I figured it was too quiet out and decided to fire up the 40. The battery only had enough juice to barely move the gauges, but after a little bit of power from the 81, it roared to life. And I do mean roar, throttle is still sticking :bang:.
So then I took it for a little burn around the block, and since the path to the 45 was now clear, the 81 moved into CPR position on it.
I haven't fired the 45 up in quite some time, but a few minutes of cranking to get the old black s*** circulating, some pumps of the pedal, and putputputputputputput....the old 2f purred away happily.
Now I gotta figure out what to with them damn stumps and roots, too big for the recycling center to take. Maybe a trip up to Eagle Ridge ;)

So what about the poor FJ55? Think you owe it a trip to Powel River.

Dry stumps make for a nice fall or winter bone fire. Just spray the dirt off of them (incase you need to use a chain saw to cut them) and set them out in the sun.

Tried starting it the last I was up there, but only managed to turn it over. Hopefully we can make a trip up there this summer. And actually, entertaining the idea of selling the farm and moving back up there.

So you want to come over and pick these stumps up and store them at your place? They are sitting out front awaiting your arrival :)

I am sure your girls would love it up there. Nothing like smaller cities and towns when the kids are little. When they are older, small towns have their downside for kids.

If you got some 6.5x16 tires and I could then come over and help you haul them away with my trailer. Tires I have now on the trailer have more cracks on the side walls than treads on top. Nothings that size has come up on craiglists.

There must be an organic disposal facility nearby which will take the bigger wood as well. The other option is to rent a bin. neighbour did that a few months ago. I think he paid around $150 for 24 hours but seeing it was over the weekend he had it for more than 48 hrs. He did a major clean-up which saved him many trailer loads to the transfer facility (plus all that time sitting in line at the scale).
