Just wanted to let everyone out there know that I'm about through with goin to the monthly meetings. I like goin just to talk about wheeling but for the most part the people who go to the meetings don't go wheeling. Xfactor and sometimes Miescha are the only other ones who actually wheel.

If anyone has any suggestions to help keep us organized I'm all ears. Maybe only meeting 4 times a year and/or different location?

Less frequency may help. Sounds like webwheeler syndrome.

Rather than a meeting, could we do open invitations for people to ride along. It may get them more interested in wheeling their own stuff. How we actually get the word out I'm not sure. But then again we may end up with some ticks.

To be recognized by the TLCA, how often do we hold scheduled meetings, I would also thinkwe need a board.

I think the actual wheelers (we know who we are) are actually organized to some extent. For the most part we all seem to show up. Not sure if location is the problem.

I do see a bunch of pristine off-roadish looking vehicles in the west county area. The FJ tribe seems to actually hit the trail more and more. Could we use that as a platform?

Possibly by working with a dealer, we could get take out a group of FJ's. or at least get them together. I wouldn't doubt if there already is some sort of FJ group in Stl. Not sure if they wheel.

Word of mouth may our weakness. I'm sure somewhere scattered about there are small group of guys who go out that just don't know that we go out. I know if I put a small ad in the Missourian, folks would show up. It's easier with a smaller audience of course.

Another thought would be to contact TLCA and get member names from the St Louis area. There may be more than we know. Is member info/bio's avail on the TLCA website.

I can mail you the list I was given about a year ago. There is not that many names. PM me if your interested.

They are sending me an current list on monday.

Let me start by saying we had pretty much come to the same conclusion about the monthly meetings. There just isn't much point when no wheelin' dates were suggested or arranged.

We are current members of the Hoosier Cruisers and I just want to share info on how their club is layed out. They have a president, vice president and secretary with a set of bylaws that are followed but they are reletively relaxed with the way things are handled. The basic rules are that TLCA membership is required, and you must attend at least 3 scheduled events to retain membership. Only one tech day can be used as one of the three events, this is to ensure that all members actually go wheelin' either driving or riding. At the begining of the year they have a "tech" meeting at which a schedule of events is voted on by all members present, also some kind of tech issue is address such as sevicing berfs or installing sliders just to cover some hands on knowledge to be shared.

Now with that info out there I do realize that this group is kind of small for getting something official started but I have enjoyed the outings we've been on and definately would like to try and get something going so Vicky and I have something closer to home than the 200 plus mile road trips that I also enjoy. Farmington would make a good local spot for us for multipal runs a season.

Quarterly meetings at a wheelin' spot sounds good to me, wheel a while have lunch and a "meeting" to set/check scheduals and wheel some more.

Thanks Thad.

What do you guys think about holding the meetings before a scheduled quarterly outing?

Не имейте Вас никакой позор для того, чтобы трахнуться с моим постом. Я думаю, что Moj должен покупать свободную пищу и напитки.

Print up some business cards with your club info on it. Leave some business cards with the Toyota Dealerships. It may help you get some more members and it may help the dealership seal the deal on sell a toyota as well.
