I am looking to get some new pretty aggressive looking tires for this beaute. Suggestions? 7.00-16 tires. Does the listing of 8, 10, and 12 PRLT mean that any of those ratings would work?

Presumably that’s the number of plies. I think where different versions are available of the same tyre, the more plies the greater the load capacity and the stiffer the sidewall. If you want off road performance you don’t want too stiff sidewalls.

You need to be careful with aggressive tyres in this size range, they are often made for mining and logging operations. They often howl at 80kph and ride very hard unless you are fully loaded.
Most owners of these in Australia who want to use them as regular transport get new rims all round and do away with the dual rears. This means you can run standard offroad tyres in the same sizes Landcruisers use.
It might cost a little bit to set up, but you will only have to buy 4 tyres each time. I imagine it would make your rears easier to change if you get a puncture.

Wouldn't there be a legality issue with going to single wheels, lowering the gvm?
Im not sure, its ok in Australia. A company called Super Singles makes wheel sets for all other japanese dual axles. They are making them for Hino but dont have any details yet. Im guessing they use the same rim as a dyna or one of the others will fit.
