Looking for insight on resetting the tire pressure light on my 04 4Runner SE. It came on this summer, inflated to proper PSI (noted on the driver's door) and it went away. Came back on last month and now when putting more air back in, it stays on.

Any ideas?

make sure you don't have a sensor in your spare.
also most tire shops can ping the sensors and make sure that you don't have a failed sensor or bad battery in one.
you're getting pretty old for og sensors

What do the sensors look like?

if they are the original sensor then itll be a metal stem, the sensor portion is in the tire so you wont be able to see it. if the light just comes on and stays solid then you need to add air to the tires, if it flashes you have a sensor that failed and would need to be replaced

It ended up being that the spare tire was at 28 PSI and was throwing on the light. I had no idea the spare was linked to the TPMS but it makes sense.

Appreciate your help!
