Cool have you checked out the Nitto's at all bro or you not looking at them not sure on price or size but mitgh be worth it im pretty sure Jack is happy with the Nitto All terrains he has and ive heard good things about the Nitto mud Grapplers as well just a thought bro

Yes.
I did look at the nittos. They were MARKEDLY more expensive than the interco's and the biggest tire they have in a 15 in rim is the 33 in Mud grappler.

They look pretty nice though.

Are you considering those?

Oh I know it. The cost of the TIRE isnt so much the issue. Its the 5 rims that I already HAVE with a good back space. That is why Im looking so hard at the 15 in part of this equation. Dont wanna re buy a new set of rims if I already have em. Conversely... The BFG MT's are still in pretty good shape too and I may end up having to run those any way depending on the funds and save up for the 37's.
Unless someone want to buy my 35's!?:D
Actually, the cost of the intercos is surprisingly in expensive for the tire.
What I have found

TSL SSR 279.00
Irok 303.00
Trxus 282.00

That is per tire of course.

Its just a matter of deciding is all. Not a life threatening issue. I do have the 35's that I can wheel with like I said. I dont actaully NEED the 37's, but I sure do WANT em to fill that big ass chop job I did on the rear 1/4.:steer:
Your not even considering the TSL Bias or radial??

Well bro if i was going to o that route i would prolly go with the Nitto's but im going with 35" BFG all terain ta's on the 40 im really happy with the performance and durability of them and i dont play in the mud at all so they do everything i want them to. I know poeple gonna tell me im crazy but they have proved themselves to me in every situation ive put them in so im gonna stick with what works and BTW i can get 4 of them for 810.00.

The bias ply's NO.
I wouldnt be opposed to the standard TSL's in the radials, but I would like a little additional side wall lugs than what the standard TSL's have. That is why Im looking MORE at the SSR/ SX's.
What is the advantage/ disadvantage of the bias? I know that if they sit, they develop flat spots that have to warm up, but aside from that...Why would you go with them over a radial? Heavier duty?

The bias plys are heavier duty. Yes, they do tend to flat spot a little bit, but after driving for a few minutes, it will round out. They do tend to ride a little rougher of course, than a radial that is. It takes a bit to break them in, but lower pressure and bending them around some rocks will fix that up. More and more people are starting to run true beadlocks on the street...might not be a bad idea to get a DIY kit and turn yours to locks. You weld good, and it would be worth it to be able to drop that pressure down and not have to worry about it.

About $70 a tire.;) and they have a heavier side wall IIRC.
They do get square over night but that usually goes away by the time I get to Home Depot from my house.
My 40 needs new shoes and I'm leaning toward replacing them with the same tire they have on, if I go new.

If I find a screaming deal on a used set who knows what they will be? I got the five tires I have now, on rims, for $400 off Pirate. You might want to consider looking there, good deals on nearly new tires can be found sometimes.

AYE!
Ive been keeping a look out for tires!
Got the wiring harness ordered today after talking with the smog refs!!!!!!
All she needs is to pass the sniff test at the smog stations to be legal. THATS IT! NOTHING ELSE! turns out I can get away with JUST the cat and 2 O2 sensors! FAWKING EXCITED BITCHES!

Spent a pretty penny though!
Oh well. Its piece of mind for me. I really didnt wanna screw with tracing down problems in a self built harness.

While heavier duty, they drive like crap. If you weren't going to drive it to SoCal for your blotch trips or future Moab trips, I would recommend them. If it was a trail only rig, go for it. My buddy had 36" tsl's on his wrangler, it was fun trying to keep it in one lane, especially on grooved pavement/concrete. He put 37" MTR's on, didn't change anything else, and it drove 100% better. Went from two handed to one handed driving.

I have never driven a bias ply tire that "drove" worth a sh$#. I have driven bias tires on stock domestic trucks 2 and 4wd's, older sports cars, military vehicles, lifted Jeeps, etc. all crap. If you want to enjoy driving it, radials.

Yeah... and that is the thing that Im most concerned with is the high way driving. Trail performance is big (obviously), but Ive gotta get to and from the trail and in MOST cases, the trail is 1-8 hrs away. Even the "local" trails...Rubicon for example is a 3 hr hike. Blotch which is done annually at least is about 6 hrs ALL HIGHWAY. That is quite a bit of road time.

Exactly.

Driving to and from Dusy last summer I did around 500 miles of highway driving on my bias ply TSL's. It wasn't all that bad. Frankly the heat, noise and lack of music were bigger issues to me than the tires. I guess it may vary from person to person how sensitive you are to ride.

If I had a choice, I would always stick with a radial tire. They are night and day better on the road and are scientifically proven to put more power to the ground. (I know, I know, not even one of the requirements...)

If you are looking for improving wet handling in a Mud tire, take them to Schwab and have them siped. I've had two sets of them done now and it is a very, very nice improvement on wet pavement and ice with a M/T tire.
