I briefly went under the 60 today spray on the waxoyl. Stuff seems pretty toxic.

Besides a respirator and goggles, any other tips? The cans spray any any angle which helps.

Cover the exhaust piping while you're doing it, or you'll be smelling it burning for a while.

True dat. When I applied the 3M undercoat, it stunk and smoked for a while.

Fluid Film is a good alternative to Waxoyl. The main ingredient is wool wax, or lanolin which comes from sheep's wool during shearing, quite nature friendly. Not that this will help you now since you have already purchased Waxoyl, but for future reference Fluid Film is much less expensive. I buy it by the gallon for about $40, and use a Sure Shot sprayer charged with compressed air to apply it. I've been doing it every fall before the snow flies, and have been quite happy with it. One fringe benefit is that when you are finished, all your exposed skin is quite soft and supple.:D

The Fluid Film sounds like a good idea. Is it something that's available in the US? I need to do my pickup truck and my LC.

Yes, it is available here. I have been buying it from Hamilton Marine, just because they had the cheapest online price.

My local napa has fluid film on the shelf. Maybe yours does too?

Good to know for future reference. Had never heard of fluid film. Thanks!

Now I'm gonna go kill something with my waxoyl.
